Well today I gave up facebook, I hope that it helps me a little bit with how I spend my time. My goal is to spend a little time to let everyone keep up with us once a week. But lets face it I am not perfect so I might fail occasionally. So I will apologize in advance for that lol. But here is how we are all doing:

Adam and Josh are loving school, right now they are doing a reading olympics that they are really excited for. It just might kill me off though. They have to read 60 min. a day to get the gold medal, 40 a day to get silver, and 20 a day to get bronze. I bet you can guess which one they want, yep the gold. If they earn it they deserve a treat or something because that is a lot of reading! But we split up the time. They read a half hour on their own and then I read them Harry Potter for the other half hour. It has been working out pretty well so far.

They also are going stir crazy with this weather, they always still want to go outside no matter how cold it is. I let them but then they come in 5 minutes later saying it is too cold and they go and play with their toys. Needless to say we are ready for warmer weather!

Everybody asks how Adam and Josh are doing with Lilli and so I thought I would tell you! They love her to death! They always are too helpful, they want to give her, her pacifier, and they always try to make her happy when she cries. They still struggle a little bit with understanding why they have to wash their hands all the time when they play with her. Especially when they just get out of school, they want to play with her when they get in the car but I make them wait until they wash their hands at home. But there are so many germs at school and they spread like crazy so i make them :) They are also very helpful with getting her diapers and throwing them away, they make a big deal about the poopy ones but I know that they love being able to help and be involved with her. The worst thing that has happened is that Adam was singing a song to Lilli and it was the first time that she smiled at him. That isn't the bad part. The bad part is that the song was it's a small world after all, so now they sing that song all the time hoping she will smile lol. It is really cute but that song drives me crazy!

Lilli is doing great! She is super cute and is growing so big. She had her 2 month check up on the 28th and she weighed 13 lbs 3 oz (90 percentile), and was 23 in tall (75 percentile). Her head size was off the charts, in fact it must be really big because the doctor walked in and said he was really impressed how well she was holding up her head. And that she must have really strong neck muscles to hold it up so well. Haha. Thats okay though she still is darling.

She recently has found her hands and she sucks on them almost as much as she sucks on the pacifier. One day she even had a finger in her mouth while she was sucking on the pacifier, I have a pretty talented baby what can I say! She loves to be just in her diaper, whenever I take her clothes off she just smiles and kicks her feet, and then she screams when I get her dressed again. Since she loves to be naked she LOVES the bath tub, thank goodness. She loves to kick and splash in the tub, sometimes she kicks and flails so much she almost launches herself off the bath chair we put her in. But then she recovers and starts all over again. She is completely happy until I either wash her hair or pull her out. Sometimes she won't but most times she will. Lilli is such a smiley baby! We are so lucky to have her!

Jason is doing really well at work, our lives revolve around holidays and football games around here. This week is Super Bowl so I know I won't see him as often, but he is such a hard worker. I am so proud of him. I appreciate all he does so that I can be a stay at home mom. It means the world to me. Recently he got a new assistant, so far she has been doing okay. She was struggling a little bit because she was a manager at a different store and they demoted her and made her his assistant. But he is hoping that he can help her where she struggled and she will be made a manager again sometime. His old assistant was made a manager of another bakery and we were pretty excited for her. I will miss her though because she would see how much Jason would work and match his efforts. Which means he would have to work less because they both were working super hard to get everything done. Hopefully this new one will be the same.

Jason just found out that he will be needing surgery, he is going in on Feb. 26. He is kind of bummed but it is the only solution, they tried medication and an allergist and nothing helped. So he will be getting his tonsils and adenoids removed, they will be opening his sinuses so that they will drain correctly and a couple more things. He will have a two week recovery and will have to spend that first night in the hospital. Hopefully he will recover quickly, and won't be in too much pain.

I am doing good as well, I am struggling trying to find balance of time and taking care of the baby. But we will get a routine soon I hope :) I love having her and caring for her, but I am one of those who sees all the other things going undone. But I know that I just need to enjoy her while she is so little because it is flying by. I am trying to learn that it is okay if the dishes go one more day, or if the living room doesn't get vacuumed it is okay, life will go on.

I am trying to learn new skills, like making bread. It is fun but it is a lot of work, the first time I made it, the recipe said it made two loaves but it definitely should have only made one. The second time was better but looked really odd. And this last time it looked good but all three times the bread was really dense. So I am trying to figure out what I need to change. I think it might help if I got yeast that wasn't expired by three years lol. I don't know, also I want to learn how to knit, it looks really hard but I want to at least try.

Well that is what we have been up to lately. We are just taking life one day at a time and trying to continue to get better!

Hello all! I can't believe that it has been so long since I have updated this lol. I am horrible. But life for the Byers family has been very busy.

Adam turned seven last month! Can you believe it? Seven! He is getting so big and he never lets us forget. He says some of the funniest things, mostly because you never would think a seven year old would say it. But we love him and we are so lucky to have him in our home. Adam is now in first grade and he loves it. He is making huge progress in reading and writing and he loves every minute of it. We asked him what his favorite parts of school was and he said recess (of course), lunch, and reading. We have such a smart boy, and he just wants to keep learning. Josh and him like to play a billion questions with me and Jason. Just because they want to know more, how things work, why things are the way they are, I struggle cause a lot of  the questions they ask I don't know the answer to, but we look them up when we get home.

Josh is almost six. He is wild, I never can get him to sit still. I don't know how his kindergarten teacher does it :) in my mind she is a saint. I can't imagine how hard her job would be. But I  sure am appreciative of it. Josh loves his teacher. She is really nice, but he also misses his preschool teacher Miss Wade. But Miss Wade gets to teach Josh every monday for art and music. So that made it all better. Josh is also learning to read now. He is working really hard to learn how to sound out words. His writing is also getting much better. He loves school and it is great that he has such a good brother to show him the way!

Jason and I are super busy as well. Jason just got transferred to Bangerter Crossing. The Harmons up there is keeping him super busy. But we are sure his long hours will pay off.... eventually. I have to keep telling myself that lol. He does amazing work up there, and he loves it. He may complain but I know he is liking the challenge.

We just found out that the paper work for our house is approved by the city and we meeting with them tomorrow morning! So they can get started on the house. I am a little nervous and excited about this next step in our life! It will be weird to start over with a new ward and new people, but I am sure it will be great! Those of you who don't know we are building in Lehi! Now that the paperwork is done it should be about 90 days give or take some, because of Christmas and things.

I am also busy raising our little boys (who aren't so little anymore), I am also trying to get everything in order for when we move. I am also busy with my calling, that is keeping me on my toes always lol. And I am learning how to do different craft things. I am trying to keep this up because I find it very relaxing and fun. So if you have any ideas of something I could learn let me know! I am also trying to keep up with exercising,  that is fun, I am doing this new step class. That totally kicks my butt! Some days after I can't even move. But it is good and I enjoy it! It is motivating too though because there are these ladies that are six months pregnant that are doing it ten times better than me. That is motivation for sure, I keep telling myself if they can do it I should be able to do it too haha.

I think that is all that is going on in our lives right now. We don't know what the boys are going to be for halloween yet. So I guess that's all, until next time :)

Okay, so apparently I am just as bad as Jason when it comes to updating this blog. But I am still trying, we have been very busy lately.

It is mostly becuase I was just trying to get through school. And it all paid off because in December I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Psychology at UVU. My graduation was in April because the school only does one graduation Ceremony. It was really fun, Mom and Dad, Jason and the boys, Mom and Dad, and Steffanie and the girls were all there to support me. It was really fun to have them all there. Afterwards we all went to lunch at Olive Garden. Here are some pictures:
But after that I don't really have much of an excuse. But it has been a lot of fun being at home with the boys full time. They are so much fun! Some things that have been happening lately are, we signed the boys up for t-ball. It was an easter gift. For easter they also got Ben-10 alien watches which they love. But unfortunately they get taken away a lot because they get pretty aggressive when they have them on. For easter they also got baseball gloves and baseballs, and a soccer ball with some cones. On May 1st it was Jason and I's first anniversary, it was really nice. I got Jason a Camera and he got me a new set of scriptures. Which I needed desperately. The one and only other time I had gotten new scriptures was when I was eight years old. He also got me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I can't believe that it was only a year ago that we got married. In some ways it seems so long ago and in others it seems like it hasn't been long at all. But either way I am very lucky to have such a wonderful husband and family and I am very lucky to be so accepted into Jason's family, I am very lucky and blessed to have them in my life. We also got to eat some cake from our wedding, and it still was delicious! Thank you Lisa!

On May 5th was Jason's twenty eighth birthday, he got a new set of scriptures too. It was a lot of fun, I threw him a surprise birthday party at his parents house. His friends all came, and he was so surprised to see them. I will never forget the look on his face when he walked into the house and saw Dave there. He almost seemed offended that Dave would go and visit Mom and Dad and not him. But then Dave said happy birthday and then it all made more sense that Dave was indeed there to see him. So then he looked at me and in shock that I had done something like this with out him even having a suspicion that something was going on. We also got to see Greg and Hilary and their adorable little boy. Tyson was there too. It was a lot of fun to get together with all of them. It doesn't happen nearly as often as we want it to.

On May 8, was mothers day, needless to say I was spoiled way to much during the month of May. Jason bought me a plant that is very pretty, I now I have a plant that will continue to bloom over and over again. He also got me some chocolates and a gift card. The boys each wrote me little notes. They and their father are great blessings in my life. I am lucky to be the mother of such wonderful little boys. We also went to the cemetary to honor a great woman who we will never forget. Adam and Josh's biological mother, she was a great mother to the boys and they miss her very much. My life and the life of our family has been richly blessed by her and her love.

Adam and Joshy's graduation:

The boys have also been going to school. We found this wonderful in home preschool, Miss Misti's and the boys love her and all the friends that they met there. We went on a field trip to the petting zoo, and I got to attend with them. We had a lot of fun petting all the animals and feeding them. We also got to go for a carriage ride with their class. We had a lot of fun. They just had their graduation from there. They really liked being able to show off in front of everyone especially me and Emilee. It was also really nice because Annettes mom and siters came as well. I know that meant alot to Adam and Josh. So school is out and I am trying to come up with some fun things to do with them while summer is going on. If you have any ideas let me know!

The Petting Zoo:

We also got to go to the Frank Vernon Rollins family reunion with mom and dad for memorial day weekend. We had a lot of fun! We went to Mesquite to visit Grandma and Grandpa Byers first. Me and the boys had so much fun spending time with them. We got to hear some stories that I have never heard before about grandma and grandpa's life. It was wonderful to spend time with mom and dad too. The boys and I went bowling with mom and then we got to go swimming with dad and Emilee. They both were really good sports considering mom did not have any socks for the bowling shoes and she went anyway. And dad got into freezing cold water with Adam because the water heater for the pool was broken. I could not get Josh to get in the cold water but the hot tub was just about the temperature you would expect for the pool. So I stayed with Josh in the hot tub while dad spent quite a bit of time with Adam in the freezing water. I am very lucky to have them as my parents and Adam and Josh are lucky to have them as grandparents. At the family reunion we got to play some games, the boys went on a Scavenger hunt and they played some other games. We also did a three legged race with the boys. They also did a raffle and Adam got some sand toys and josh got a new Matchbox car. They were so excited about their toys they wanted ot open them right away and play with them. They had so much fun, but by the time we got home they were so exhausted. They went right to sleep.

Most recently we have been trying to get things all set up for school next year. Adam is going to kindergarten so we filled out all the papers. All that is left for him is he has to get five shots:( and he has to be evaluated in August to see which class he will be in. But Josh is a different story. We have been trying to get him into a preschool that does speech therapy with him at his school. We actually found two but it is quite the process to get him into them. He has had to be evaluated on academics and his speech, and me and Jason have had to fill out all sorts of paper work just for him to be considered. Well I have great news! I just found out today that he will be attending a preschool at the same place that Adam will be attending Kindergarten. I was hoping that he would get in at this one because the speech therapist that we have been working with is awesome. She will be able to continue to work with him now that he is attending this preschool and not the other.

Well thats all folks! Until next time which hopefully will be sooner than later :)

WOW has it been a long time or what?!?!?

Well since Jason has been such a slacker about keeping this updated, I have taken over and hopefully I can do a better job at it. LOL. I am not making any promises though. A lot has happened over the past months that have had a huge impact on our family.

On October 10, 2009 Adam and Joshua's mother, Annette passed away. She was a good mother and the boys have missed her so much. It is really hard because they really don't understand the plan of salvation and the wonderful opportunity the have to be together with her forever. But we do our best to explain that they will see her again. I never met her but I wish I had, because she has blessed my life so much, by bringing my two boys into my life. I will never forget her and Jason and I hope that we can help the boys to never forget her either.

In december our two little boys had surgery to have their four front teeth removed. They both had bottle rot, which my dad said was more painful for them to have their teeth in, than to have them taken out. Those poor boys, they could only eat really soft foods for a few days. But they have learned to eat without those teeth. Sometimes it is hard to remember the struggles that they will have eating certain things. Like one day I almost gave them corn on the cob... can imagine trying to eat that without your front teeth?

Later on in December, on December 26, 2009 to be exact, Jason and I got engaged! Jason was so sweet, he took me and the boys to the Olive Garden (which is my favorite restaurant)where we had dinner, then he took us to walk around the provo temple. But unfortunately the gates were closed, plus on top of that we were freezing. But anyway we were looking at the temple when Jason asked me to turn around. So I did a little confused. Then all of a sudden Adam and Josh came running around me with a rose each and they handed them to me and told me that they loved me. Then I turn around to see where Jason was, and there he was on one knee, when he told that he loved me and then popped the question, he also had roses in his hand, he had four, and he told me that there was one for each of us in our family. So sweet!

In March Joshy had surgery again, :(. This time he had to get his tonsils and adenoids removed, and tubes in his ears. But he was so excited because he could be twinners with his cousin Emma, who had them out a couple weeks earlier. He had to stay in the hospital for a few days because he wasn't drinking enough fluids. which is all he could have really, he could have soft food but he didn't really eat any. When he got out, he was so happy, he hates the hospital. But a week later he was so dehydrated, so he had to go in and get an IV. He hated every second of it, but as of today he has not had any more issues with it.

On May 1, 2010, Jason and I were married for time and all eternity in the Provo temple. It was the best day of my life, to be married to the man I love. It was even better because of all the family that came to be with us. Jason's grandparents came from Nevada, and Ashlee and Ben and Emma were able to come too! It was great! It was the first time that we had met Emma, she was so much fun. She really liked Jason, it was really cute, she kept coming up and hugging him. So adorable.

Anyway, some of the things that we have been up to are, Jason is busy working at Harmons where he is the Bakery Manager, he is doing a wonderful job. And we really appreciate how hard he works. I am currently in school, I am going to get my bachelors from UVU in December. Adam and Josh are going to preschool too. They love it, they really like their teachers.

I just got a call from a speech pathologist for Joshy and they want to do an evaluation on wednesday to see if he qualifies. I hope he does, I feel that he needs it, he is doing a lot better since the tubes have been put in but people still are having a hard time understanding him. It is sad though because I will miss how he talks it is so cute! Also Joshy is potty training now. He has done really well, but he has had a really hard time since he started school.

Adam is turning 5 on Sunday! He is so big, and he loves super heroes so we got him a spiderman cake. We hope he likes it. We haven't gotten him any gifts, he asked my dad for a watch and gramps can't say no. So he will get a watch soon LOL. Adam doesn't know this but he gets to see Grandpa and Grandma Byers, (Jason's grandparents) too. I know he will be excited when he finds out that they will be here for his birthday.

It sure has been a while since I updated this. So be grateful because it might be a while before I do it again! We went to the park and had a super time. According to my blog that looks like all we do is go to the park. But that is okay. We have lots of fun. There is nothing cooler then seeing children having fun and you getting to jump in on the fun. I am glad I can be a kid just like mine. Except they sure can move quickly through a playground. And their dad on the other hand has to take it a little slower so he can get through the bars lol.

My super strong boys. They must get that from their dad! lol

What a character Josh is. I took a picture of his cracker sandwhich because the way you see it is how he did each one and how he taught me. He did ham, cheese, cracker, ham. So the cracker was the meat and the ham was the cracker. He was silly!

The one eyebrow look!

Wow it sure has been a while since I updated this. Well this is just a few pictures of an awesome day with Adam and Joshua. We had so much fun. We were very tired after this fun time cause we ran around non-stop.
